Job Description

QTS Teacher of Science

A school in South Birmingham is looking for a passionate Fully/Newly Qualified Teacher of Science to join their department. The post is to commence asap and run until the end of the academic year. The candidate would need to be able to set the schemes of work, mark, and plan and prepare and take on all of the duties of a Full-time member of staff.

The school has excellent transport links and is within easy access for all areas of Birmingham and surrounding areas of the west midlands. The school is renowned for a supportive and proactive approach to teaching and the Science Department has been very successful.

The right candidate should have the following:

  • QTS or at least 6 months teaching experience

  • Teach General science to Key Stage 3 and KS4

  • Be prepared to plan, mark work, get involved in departmental meetings and act as a Form Tutor

  • Be resourceful, enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate.

  • Be able to communicate with their consultant

  • Work as a team within the department and the school as a whole
